What is this Campaign of Conscience About?

There is a travesty going on in our world right now, perpetrated both by tyrants and terrorists alike. Freedom - our most sacred human value - is being highjacked. We hear it all the time: "Operation enduring freedom." "Iraqi freedom." "In God's name we kill for freedom."

Told to live for it. Defend it. Die for it, if need be. But what is this "march of freedom", really? And why do so many people see it as identical to fanaticism, cruelty, and corporate profiteering?

The Campaign to Liberate Freedom was conceived as a global "Revolution of the Spirit," to use a phrase from Burma's imprisoned Nobel Peace laureate, Aung San Suu Kyi, also the campaign’s inspiration.

We invite the people of the world to use the power of the human voice, our freedom of speech and our freedom of expression, to reclaim the meaning of freedom — liberate it by sharing your views; writing them right now if moved by one of the most important questions of our time:

How Can We Liberate Freedom,
Personal and Global, From the Forces of
Indoctrination, Fear, and Complicity with War?

"Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter." Perhaps Dr. Martin Luther King's words have never been more important. We invite you to openly speak out for freedom right now.

It is our belief that freedom is a "living state of consciousness" - "alive," not static. Therefore, by exercising freedom, using our inalienable liberties enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, we actively "liberate our freedom," evolve it, expand its brilliance, helping to safeguard our most sacred human value.

Join the Campaign, your words will both inspire others to speak up and help to stop war at its source—consciousness itself.
