To Love the World and Suffer With It Freely
November 4th, 2006
I sing to you of freedom my friend
It begins with the heart
when you wish to soar beyond your suffering
this is the freedom you long for
when you shed your tears that angels treasure
this is your freedom, my friend
when you laugh with your friend from the bottom of your soul
this is the freedom you seek
And when you embrace the other as you
and forget all that separates one from the other:
my culture, my beliefs my country, my family
when you move beyond these differences,
my friend liberation lives in the palm of your hand
and you love the world and suffer with it freely.
